Current consultant practice
Mr Omakobia is a substantive Consultant ENT Surgeon and Rhinologist at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust, primarily practising at William Harvey Hospital and Kent & Canterbury Hospital.
His private practice is based at Spencer Private Hospitals Ashford.
Training
He graduated in medicine from Gonville & Caius College, University of Cambridge in 2009. After higher ENT surgical training in Yorkshire and Humber, he completed CCT in Otolaryngology in 2022 and entered the GMC Specialist Register.
He subsequently undertook a Post-CCT advanced fellowship in Manchester covering rhinology, anterior skull base surgery, nasal plastic surgery and reconstructive surgery.

Specialist interests
His clinical interests include chronic rhinosinusitis, nasal polyps, nasal obstruction, endoscopic sinus surgery, image-guided and frontal sinus surgery, septoplasty, turbinate surgery, functional septorhinoplasty and rhinoplasty. He also undertakes endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) for selected watery-eye patients jointly with an oculoplastic ophthalmology colleague, as well as routine paediatric ENT procedures.
Teaching and professional contribution
Mr Omakobia has taught on rhinology and surgical training courses, holds postgraduate qualifications in clinical education, and has contributed to clinical governance, service development and multidisciplinary rhinology work.
Outside medicine
His public professional profiles note interests including music, concerts, family time, gym and football, together with participation in charity fundraising.
